Junior Harrison Wood made his Varsity debut on Sunday
At the Dick Hadley Memorial Golf Tournament Sunday afternoon at Glenview Golf Course, the Lancers' team score of 330 was good enough to finish 10th from 23 teams. Senior Gabe Logan overcame a string of four straight bogeys on the front nine with two birdies over his last eight holes to finish at 3-over par. On his 75, Logan described it as "a grind" to fight back from 5-over par to finish at 3-over.
Fellow senior Andrew Bobowski also had to get back on track after a rough start playing the final eight holes at even par to finish with a 6-over 78 on the day. Sophomore Colin Birck, making another Varsity appearance after his recent strong play, carded an 87 while Freshman Colin Bobowski was just a couple of strokes back at 90. Junior Harrison Wood made his Varsity debut playing the course in a respectable 91.
There's no time to rest for the golf teams as they are both in action on Monday with Varsity playing in the morning at Miami Valley Golf Club in Dayton for the Alter Invitational. Junior Varsity makes the trip over to Hyde Park for the GCL Quad Match in the afternoon.
